It’s a short term – only nine weeks! – but it is going to be busy. There are a number of exciting events happening in the Primary School. The Lower Primary Camp to Point Peron is happening this week. Musica Viva will be visiting next week. This year, the performers are from the Torres Strait Islands. They will be using music and dance to introduce the childhood games of the Torres Strait, and show how games are an important record of who we are and where we come from. Mid-term, we will be visited by the storytellers from Tales of Times Past. Six story tellers will talk about their childhoods and show photographs and objects to illustrate their stories. Turtles and Dugongs are going to the Rockingham Environment Centre for a day. During the last week, we will be putting our skipping skills into practice for a good cause with Jump Rope for Heart.
