What a beautiful way to end our Carols on the Green event with our performer, Greg Carter helping to create such a great ambiance to celebrate our 35th birthday of RMS. Again thank you to all who volunteered with planning, set up and pack up of this event. Also a big thank you to our families who chose a child from the Mowanjum community to purchase a gift which was placed in a wrapped shoebox that will be given to the child at their Christmas celebrations. I urge your family to write to your child on a regular basis so that it is more about the connections formed rather than just receiving a gift. Again thank you to all the Senior School students who helped to coordinate this activity.
I would like to thank all our Parent Liaisons who undertook this role to welcome new families to our school over 2020. This was a very tricky year to keep your class families connected however you have done a fabulous job which is evident in the very small number of families who will be leaving the school at the end of this year. We wish these families all the success with their new schools and moves within WA, interstate and internationally. We also thank and warmly welcome the new 2021 Parent Liaisons who have volunteered to take up this role for next year.
I am very excited to inform families that Nat Wright will commence our Pinjarra Infant Toddler Program on Tuesday 2 February at the Pinjarra Community Garden. This playgroup will run on a Tuesday and Thursday morning from 9.15 to 11.15am. Rockingham families are also able to attend the Pinjarra playgroup either as a regular or casual placement. Please contact enrolments@rms.wa.edu.au to secure your place for next year.
A huge congratulations to our Adolescent Program staff and students for a fabulous Arts Showcase on Tuesday night. Again a wonderful way to highlight all of the learning that took place in second semester in the areas of fine arts, drama, vocals and kitchen.
We now look forward to our Primary School graduation ceremony and End of Term School meeting which will commence at 2.15pm tomorrow. I wish everyone a happy and safe Summer holiday and I look forward to seeing you in the new year.
