The last few weeks have been very exciting and busy with the grand opening of the Port Kennedy OSHC, Valentine’s Day, World Thinking Day, International Rare Diseases Day, and International Women’s Day.
To celebrate Valentine’s Day at OSHC we made cards for our loved ones
22nd February was World Thinking Day and to commemorate our brains we spent the week enjoying brain-busting activities such as mazes, puzzles, spot the difference, and memory games.
28th February was International Rare Diseases Day. We discussed healthy and unhealthy foods, and the children made a healthy eating plate. We also made popcorn and super sonic dip with vegetable sticks for healthy afternoon snacks.
8th March was International Women’s Day and we honoured the amazing women all around the world past, present and future by listening to music written and performed by women, discussing both famous women and important women in our lives, and creating flower art with each petal expressing an admirable personality trait of an influential woman.
It is only a few more weeks until the school holidays and we are looking forward to some great holiday events such as bowling, Yogamigos, African Drumming, and a visit from some furry friends from West Oz Wildlife.
