A group of Adolescent students participated in the CSBP Coastal Connections Challenge to raise awareness and empower them to take real action on coastal issues. Our group attended a two day workshop in March to learn about local issues and solutions. At the end of the process they had formulated an action plan to conduct a beach clean up to music and a sausage sizzle.

At the end of term one our team attended the showcase event in which all participating schools set up a stall to inform others of their plan and promote their ideas to industry professionals. We set up a stall that included rubbish samples from the beach and an information flyer.

The clean-up of Rockingham foreshore and sausage sizzle with occur this term so stay tuned!

Special thanks goes to Jamie for being a great leader on this project!
