Rockingham Montessori School is a not-for-profit Incorporated Association as defined in the Associations Incorporation Act (2015). Parents of current students and some other members of the community are eligible to become Members of the Association. The School Board is elected annually by the Members and is legally responsible for the affairs of the School.
In practice, the Board focuses at a strategic or governance level, and delegates management of day-to-day operations to the Principal. The Board employs, oversees and supports the Principal, and they work together for the school community and for the long-term success of the School.
