Directors not Teachers
In a Montessori school, the teacher is more than someone who instructs students. A Montessori teacher undertakes additional training to gain the valuable skills that enable them to become the Director of a Montessori classroom.
The Director’s role is to observe the classroom and guide individual students as they require it. At Rockingham Montessori, our Directors are qualified to not only direct the children in Montessori activities but also ensure they cover every aspect of the curriculum.
Our Montessori Directors become very important figures in the children’s lives. They remain together for three years and a strong relationship is formed so they know one another very well.
At Rockingham Montessori School, we are proud to have a full staff of Montessori trained teachers for our classrooms.
